Singapore turned 48 this year. We didn’t get to watch the National Day Parade live (or at least nearby for the fireworks). We watched the coverage on HD 5 from home.

It’s nice to observe how different countries do their National Day. The U.S. celebrates every “4th of July” while the Philippines has its own traditions every 12th of June.

Combined with Hari Raya Puasa last Thursday, this is a long weekend full of celebrations.
