It’s July! I’m turning 30 in two weeks. OMG.

I feel inspired to write again. (Or try harder to write.) So I am taking a little creative writing challenge from Ditz Revolution where Helga lists down 31 blog post ideas. I’m going to attempt to do all 31 this month… in some shape or form.

Day 1 (July 1) – a recipe you recently cooked

(Because I’m too busy to cook, sakto, my boyfriend cooked something earlier)

Chicken adobo!

I can’t remember the last time we cooked for each other. He has been so busy with work lately. I’ve been dragon boating. He’s too tired to cook. I’m too tired to do the dishes. So recently we have been eating nothing but fast food or takeaway from the neighborhood hawker.

Earlier he surprised me with chicken adobo. How sweet di ba. I couldn’t help but eat three rounds of rice.

Recipe for this? Come on, it’s adobo! He used Silver Swan which was the only vinegar available. Seems like Datu Puti is elusive in Singapore… or we don’t have time to visit the Pinoy stores at Lucky Plaza. He bought pieces of chicken at Fairprice. I recall lots and lots of garlic and pepper corn. It’s adobo. 😛
