A little bit of Tagaytay is good for your health

A few weeks back I got to catch up with some former colleagues in Manila. We met up in Tagaytay and started chatting about possible future trips together. Considering that… whenever we discuss destinations, it has to be somewhere really, really far. Like tipong Sri Lanka, Maldives… and I’m not sure if Egypt or Morocco was in there somewhere. Uh, guys! 😛

My former colleague Ms. May blogs at May Walks the Earth. 🙂

I hadn’t been to Tagaytay in years. I noticed the traffic has gotten worse. They treated me to lunch at Tootsie’s and desserts at Bag of Beans (this new branch closer to the old Starbucks). So sweet guys… thanks so much! ❤

The shirt I’m wearing here was a gift from my dragonboat teammates Archie and Mo. Thanks! Support Archie’s t-shirt business (also see the Facebook page)!

Great to catch up with you ladies! Mwuah!

FDS Trainings in prep for AustCham 10KM

Tuloy ang trainings!

We are preparing for the AustCham 10KM race. It is a unique local race in Singapore that runs that long! We usually compete in standard 200-500 meter races. This will be a test of endurance and determination.

Our training schedule so far has been standard (pool, land, and water training). By standard I mean… we haven’t had additional or supplement trainings in the past two weeks. I think the training committee will be adding more trainings on top of the standard four times weekly. Of course the program each training is focused on building endurance.

Trying RedMart for the first time

Waah first it’s the self-checkout lanes I’m getting used to at FairPrice and Giant. Now, I’m trying to do groceries using RedMart. They deliver right to your doorstep!

Call me weird but I don’t like boiling water from the “clean” faucets in Singapore. I still prefer to drink water from Dasani or Ice Mountain. My problem is lugging around 1.5L bottles of mineral/distilled water. I usually buy a maximum of 3 because the plastic bags get heavy. A branch of Giant is about a 5-6 minute walk across void decks… so the pinch of plastic on my hands is uncomfortable. #ARTELANG

So I “discovered” RedMart. And for my first “attempt” I ordered all the heavy stuff we usually buy at the groceries (sans the papertowels):

Oh di ba! Try lang. Delivery is tomorrow night.

–TAMAD LANG?!–

Orders above $30 means free delivery. Hassle free.

Will update again later. See how.
