It’s Wednesday again and for this week’s Telok Ayer Lunch Hop, we explored the vicinity of Cecil Street looking for a meal that is less than $8.00.

I was craving for Curry Chicken. We found one at the restaurant we along a shophouse on Stanley Street. But it was sold out.

We saw a banner for “Coffee Hive” which is a chain selling kopi and lunch dishes that you can find at some parts of the city.

Interesting location on a flight of stairs.

Curry Chicken

Iordered the Signature Curry Chicken (selection of rice, noodles, or bread). I added a large Teh Peng. SGD 8.80.

Greg tried the Rosemary Chicken with Fries. The chicken had a layer of melted cheese.

The curry chicken was alright. A quick fill for a craving. But somehow I missed the Marina South Bay Curry House that was open at 100AM last year. It closed down.

The Rosemary Chicken which Greg was generous to have me try was much better. Comfort food!

Coffee Hive Cecil St. is located at Cecil Court. They have branches at The Adelphi, Fushionopolis, Novena Square 2, PWC Building, Afro Asia Building, and more.

I was particularly amused at Cecil Court’s branch because the restaurant was resting on a flight of stairs!
